VEER BHADRASANA

Method of Practice: Virabhadrasana (Warrior Pose)

  • 01
Stand at the front of your yoga mat in Tadasana (Mountain Pose).
  • 02
Slightly bend your knees and step your left foot 3–4 feet backward. Align both heels in a straight line. Turn the left foot inward to about 45° and the right foot outward to 90°.
  • 03
Square your torso to face forward. Bend your right knee until it is directly above the right ankle, ensuring that the knee does not extend beyond the ankle.
  • 04
Raise both arms overhead and interlock your fingers, leaving the index fingers extended and touching each other, pointing upward.
  • 05
Lift your chin slightly and focus your gaze either on your thumbs or at the Ajna Chakra (the center between the eyebrows).
  • 06
Keep your spine erect and do not lean backward.
  • 07
Hold the posture for a few comfortable breaths.
  • 08
To release the pose, place your hands on your waist and slowly return to the starting position.
  • 09
Repeat the same sequence on the opposite side.
