Method of Practice: Kapalbhati Pranayama

    Sit comfortably in Sukhasana (Easy Pose) and place your hands on your knees in Jnana Mudra (touching the tips of the index finger and thumb together).

    Forcefully exhale through the nose while simultaneously pulling the abdomen sharply inward. Continue this rhythmic movement of active exhalations.

    Begin with 2 minutes of practice and gradually increase the duration to 5 minutes as your comfort and experience improve.

    In Kapalbhati, no conscious effort is required to inhale. After each forceful exhalation, fresh air naturally enters the lungs. The abdominal contractions should be gentle and controlled rather than excessively forceful.
