Herbalism is generally misunderstood to mean Ayurvedic medicines, although there is a slight difference.  The use of herbs in their natural form comes under herbalism while in Ayurveda herbs are used as a Raw material and processed using different methods. The natural forms of herbs include their juices, dried in sun- shade and powdered without using any processing.  As an example, we can compare the difference between herbs and Ayurvedic medicines  with the difference between Raw vegetables, Salad, Vegetable juice and cooked vegetable curry or Paneer curry, or milk and sweets made of milk.  As in a diseased condition some vegetables, &  fruits are said to be beneficial and some harmful, some herbs are of help in their treatment and do not harm even to those   who are not comfortable with Ayurvedic medicines.
